The State of Android App Privacy.
Every quarter we publish what the AppXpose corpus reveals: which apps track you, what permissions they demand, and how risky the Android ecosystem really is. Every chart comes from real device scans. No estimates, no marketing numbers.
5,820 Android Apps Analyzed. 62% Carry Real Privacy Risk.
Smart home apps emerge as the new tracker farms, shopping apps take the category crown, and 62% of HIGH-risk apps carry the advertising ID permission. First edition with deduplicated tracker counts.
What 3,745 App Scans Reveal About Android Privacy.
The first AppXpose privacy report: finance apps averaged 13.5 trackers each, 1 in 7 apps scored HIGH or CRITICAL risk, and weather apps sold location data at scale.
A Dataset That Grows With Every Scan.
Between the Q2 and Q3 2026 editions, the corpus grew by 55% to 5,820 unique apps, verified tracker detections rose 67% to 8,013, and the signature database expanded from 190 to 274 entries. 138 of those signatures were discovered by community scans, in real APK code, not from any public list.
